THE OPPORTUNITY:
Red Tree Consulting is currently looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Manager for a role within one of Ireland Leading Agri Businesses. This role will be responsible for managing the procurement of a range of Agri Feed and Animal Health categories as well as categories within Agri Supplies and Hardware.
This role will attract Purchasing Professional with an Agri-Retail background who are looking for a leadership role within a dynamic and challenging environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To manage the purchasing of  certain categories and control cost and set selling price top ensure budgeted targets are achieved
To build and maintain supplier relationships in order to achieve best price
To identify New Products that would achieve cost reduction whilst ensuring market share and profits are protected
To manage the process and organisation of seasonal ranges, promotions etc.
Ensure all weekly and  monthly reporting on Vendors and Vendor Accounts are conducted
To ensure Supplier Management, In accordance with deadlines set by the agribusiness portfolio.
To work in conjunction with Category Managers in achieve best in store merchandising.
To Liaise with Retail and Marketing Operations management teams.


CANDIDATE PROFILE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

3rd level qualification in Purchasing is desired
3-4 years senior  experience in a Purchasing role in the Agri Sector.
Strong negotiation skills and supplier management skills
Good Commercial and Financial Acumen
Strong Data Analysis skills and experience
Experience with SAP or similar require

This role will attract Purchasing Professionals with a strong mix of Agri/Retail purchasing experience., looking for a career challenge within a well regarded Agri Retailer.
