The inpatient rehabilitation unit is a 28 bed:CARF accredited unit. We provide a full range of Occupational Therapy services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis, including physical and speech:language therapies as well as neuropsychology services. Summary of Essential Job Duties:
The Therapist III evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the prescription of the physician. The Level III therapist frequently assists in the continuous quality improvement process, program development, administrative duties as assigned, mentoring of staff and coordination of the student/intern program. Assists in divisional growth and cohesiveness to ensure a high quality of patient care. The Therapist III provides patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics; the Plan for Provisions of Care to Patients, the Plan for Corporate Compliance, the Performance Improvement and Patient Education Plan. Competency skills include the ability to provide care to a wide range and complexity of diagnoses while maintaining a safe environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities.

Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
Valid and current license as an OT in the state of california. Certified Hand Therapist preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years total experience as a practicing therapist and evidence of ability to perform at this level preferred. A minimum of 2 years experience in a hand therapy practice set
