The Team Leader role has responsibility and is fully accountable for the team they lead. Their responsibilities involve leading and managing a team of compliance relationship managers, delivering on the key objectives as defined within the overall compliance unit and supporting the broader organisational compliance objectives. Their primary role is the provision of advice to the relevant business areas, through multiple relationships, and for ensuring that all obligations are advised to the business and complied with so that the organisation operates in a business environment that is fully compliant with all regulatory obligations.
Third level preferably post graduate qualification; at least 7 years experience in a senior compliance role with significant regulatory experience to enable identification, interpretation and communication of a diverse range of regulatory requirements,. Knowledge of regulatory framework and specific regulation will be an advantage.
The role requires specialist knowledge to as set out for example in Consumer Protection Code (CPC), Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), Distance Marketing Directive (DMD), Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears (CCMA), Consumer Credit Directive (CCD), Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS).
